Lucille Clark Grindle, 81

Mrs. Lucille Clark Grindle, age 81 of Murrayville in Lumpkin County. Mrs. Grindle passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her friends and family. A loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister, Mrs. Grindle was raised in the farming community in the North Hall County area and spent her 55 years of marriage with her husband L.D. operating their family farm in Lumpkin County.

In addition to assisting with the care of the cows and chickens; Lucille was a master gardener. She was known as an excellent southern cook. Her special stack apple pies were loved by all of her family and friends. Mrs. Grindle was a long standing member of Mt Zion Baptist Church # 2 She and L.D. were very involved for many years with the Georgia Farm Bureau, Upper Chattahoochee Soil Conservation, and the Dairymen's Association.

Mrs. Grindle was preceded in death by her husband L.D. Grindle, her parents Gordon Sr. and Minnie Couch Clark, and brother Gordon Clark Jr., J.R. Clark and Roger Clark.

She is survived by Children, Donald and Sharon Grindle, Sandra and Carlton "Johnny" Smith, Patsy and Alvin Bryan, Wayne and Wylene Grindle; all of Murrayville, and Danny and Beth Grindle of Gainesville Grandchildren; Kay and Sara Smith, Donna Grindle, Martha and Trecy Kent Chris and Gerri Smith, David and Julie Grindle, Judd and Kelli Smith, Brian and Rachel Grindle, Carolanne and Wesley Owenby, Nancy Bryan and Fiancee Clay Wilkes, Great-Grandchildren Jacob and Josh Smith, Page and Jackson Kent, Will and Tom Grindle, Katie Smith, Seth and Aaron Gnndle. Brothers and Sisters, Albert & Imogene Clark, Jim & Ann Pilgrim, Gene & Edward Tucker.

Visitation will be held at the residence 204 L.D. Grindle Rd. Murmyville starting at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, June 01 until 1:00 P.M. on Sunday June, 03, services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2 with the body to lie in state at the church from 1:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. with burial in the church cemetery with Rev. Verner London, Rev. Les Fuller, and Rev. Dean Bryant officiating.
