Evans Funeral Home announces the death of John William Hasenauer, age 58, of Nicholson GA, who passed away on Tuesday October 3, 2017. John was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania a son to Mrs. Idalean Hasenauer and the late Mr. William Hasenauer of Point Pleasant Pennsylvania.
He was a son, a husband, a father, a soldier, and a friend. He was a nurse, a physicians assistant, an EMT, a fireman and a Hotshot fire jumper. He flew medevac in Alaska and was featured on the Yucon Men TV show. He was a champion horseman who enjoyed Gymkhana and barrel racing competitions.
He was preceded in death by his father William Hasenauer, and his twin sisters Diana and Theresa.
He was survived by his loving wife, Diane and their children Holly and Sage, his mother Idalean, and his 3 brothers Glenn, Duane (Lori), and Scott. He leaves behind 2 nephews, Austin and Duane Jr., and 4 nieces, Brianna, Robin, Maxi and Amanda.
John never met a stranger. He loved talking to anyone and everyone. His kindness and caring was inspiring and drew people to him. He made friends everywhere he went.
His spirit has gone to be with the Lord, but his unending love and kindness remain in the hearts of all he left behind.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11am in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10-11am at Evans Funeral Home prior to the service.
