Kathryn Mabry Durden

Mrs. Kathryn Mabry Durden, age 76 of Hands of Love Drive, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Otha Mabry, Sr. and Mae Elise Adams Mabry, she was born December 9, 1940 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was a 1959 graduate of Toccoa High School.  She was the Owner/Operator of Hands of Love Personal Care Home for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tim Andrews.

Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Andrews of Toccoa and Kathy Owens of Tyrone, Pennsylvania; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Amy Durden of Toccoa; eight grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis and Linda Mabry of Hollywood, Georgia and Walter and Gail Mabry of Tignal, Georgia; two sisters and brother-in-law, Sara Pannell  and Joyce and Wayne Bleckley both of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 5, 2017, 4 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Roger Elrod officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Adam Power, David Power, Bailey Durden, D.J. Power, Dustin Andrews and Austin Cartwright.  Honorary pallbearer will be Tyrese Carvin.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. and Saturday, 3 P.M until the service time.  Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Kathryn Mabry Durden.
