Mary Hulsey

Mary Hulsey, 84, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday July 11, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Born September 18, 1932 to the late J. C. and Kate Slaton, Mary was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  She was a graduate of Dawson County High School, class of 1949, and also worked for the Dawson County School System for many years as a substitute teacher and teacher’s aide at Robinson Elementary School.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dean Hulsey; son, Dan Hulsey; and sister, Rebekah Wilson.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Sarah Hulsey, North Carolina, Geoffrey and Flavia Hulsey, Washington; daughter in law, Judith Hulsey, Colorado; great grandchildren, Drake and Flavia; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be held on Friday July 14, 2017 at 10 AM at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Cory Gilleland will officiate.  Interment will follow at the Dawsonville City Cemetery.
