Dorothy Murray James

Mrs. Dorothy Murray James, age 93 of Anderson, South Carolina and formerly of Toccoa passed away Thursday, June 09, 2016 at the home of her son in Anderson, South Carolina.

A daughter of the late John Henry and Connis Ramey Murray, she was born March 13, 1923 in Habersham County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County and the last several years in Anderson.  She was retired from Coats and Clark with 25 years of service and attended Carnes Creek Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Pilton James.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Don Cornell of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jeanne James of Anderson, South Carolina; nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 11, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Doug James officiating.
