Ethel Irene Coleman Hopper

Ethel Irene Coleman Hopper, 86, of Clayton, GA went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 9, 2015.

She was born in Rabun County and was the daughter of Frank Pinion Coleman and Mary Montana York Coleman. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hopper was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kelley James Hopper, two brothers, Frank Coleman, Jr. and Thomas Coleman; and one sister, May Belle Coleman English and one son-in-law, Denver Shirley. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Hopper Shirley of Clayton, GA.

She was a charter member of Clayton Presbyterian Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and reading.  Mrs. Hopper was a very caring and devoted wife, and mother.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Clayton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Fred Dimaio officiating.

A committal service will be held at Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ethel Hopper’s memory may be made to Clayton Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 734, Clayton, GA 30525; or to the Rabun County Senior Center, 2832 Old 441 South, Tiger, GA 30576.
