Frank B. (Big Daddy) Pounds, Sr. age 91, of Cumming passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Pounds served in World War II. He was a former member and Ordained Deacon at Sylvan Hills Baptist Church and currently a member of First Baptist Church of Cumming. Mr. Pounds retired after 44 years with NABISCO. He was an emeritus member of
Capitol View Lodge #640 F&AM, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Yaarab Shrine.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Hallie Hogue Pounds; son and daughter-in-law, Frank B. and Susie Pounds of Cumming; daughter, Pamela Pounds Bell; grandchildren, Jacqueline Pounds (Scott) Mann, Melinda Pounds (Mark) Gillespie, Thomas Frank (Sarah) Bell, Jr., great grandchildren, Hunter Thomas Bell, Callie Jayne Gillespie, James Thomas (Trey) Bell, Madilynn Michelle Gillespie, Kayla Elise Gillespie; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bob Jolly officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
