Funeral Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday June 20, 2015 at Belmont Baptist Church for Nell Clark Ivey age 88 of Gainesville. The Rev. Bill Compton will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ivey passed away Thursday June 18, 2015.
Mrs. Ivey was born in Hall County to the late Wilbert C. Clark and Ruby Ruth Bailey Clark. She was a housewife and an active member of Belmont Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Jewel L. Ivey, sister, Sybil Clark, sister, Eva Hudgins, brother, W.C. “Bill” Clark, and sister-in-law, Onedia Ivey Maddox.
Mrs. Ivey was faithful to her family, her church, her community and most of all her Lord. She served her Lord most of all by serving others.
Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Howard Elder, Gainesville, brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Sharon Clark, Gainesville, special nieces and nephews, Tim and Sandra Clark, Ronald and Dyan Allen, David and Patti Hodgens, Wayne and Shelba Merritt, Charlie and Jan Underwood and many other nieces and nephews.
