Mary Lee Buffington

Mary Lee Savage Buffington, 91, of Gillsville passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Timberridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Dwayne Ryals and Reverend Chris York will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Buffington was born on March 8, 1924 in Clermont to the late Romie and Harriett Savage. She was a homemaker and shared with everyone her love for Jesus.  She was a member of Timberridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Buffington was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas Hardwick Buffington.

Mrs. Buffington is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Nancy Couch of Fort Walton Beach, FL; four daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Lamar Hicks of Fayetville, NC, Jane and Luis Soriano of Flowery Branch,  Stella Morrison of Gainesville, Kay and Stanley Cochran of Murrayville; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
