Joann Brewington Cash

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Joann Brewington Cash, age 68 of Sautee.

Mrs. Cash passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2014.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30pm, Sunday, December 28, 2014 in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Fortner and Rev. Junior Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleveland.

Joann was born to the late Joe Wheeler Brewington and Fannie Estelle Coker Brewington on May 9, 1946 and was a lifelong native resident of White County, Georgia. She was a 1974 graduate of North Georgia Technical College where she received her LPN. Her nursing career began at Hall County Hospital and continued at Habersham County Medical Center for over 20 years. She transitioned into Long Term Care where she worked at area nursing homes for the last 13 years of her nursing career and retired from Habersham Nursing Home.

Mrs. Cash is survived by her husband Sonny Cash and her son Stephen Cash both of Sautee. She is also survived by her brother Marvin Brewington (Brenda)and sister Jean Worley (Randy).

She is preceded in death by her brother James Carl Brewington.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 5pm-8pm
