Mrs. Frankie Kanaday Stringer, 76, of Dahlonega passed away peacefully at her residence Monday, November 03, 2014 following an extended illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, Mrs. Stringer was a partner in the Stringer Insurance Agency along with her husband, Paul. She had previously attended Brenau University, the Georgia Baptist Nursing School and North Georgia College. She was a member of Dahlonega Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stringer was preceeded in death by a son, Richard Paul Stringer and a brother, Jack Kanaday. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Paul Stringer of the home, son; Steven Stringer, Dahlonega, brother; Joe Kanaday (Connie), Dahlonega, sisters; Ruth White (Bill), Murrayville and Frances Chastain (Vaughan), Helen. Grandchildren, Rhett and Rileigh Stringer, both of Dahlonega. A number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Hutcheson and Rev. Mark Green officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers Pat Brackett, Nichele Owens and Diedra Stephens as well as Hospice of the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for their wonderful care during Mrs. Frankie's illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ones church or charity of choice.
