Alelia Anne Baird

Mrs. Alelia Anne Baird, age 76, of Jefferson, GA died Monday, May 19, 2014 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Baird was born in Wadley, GA to the late Russell Jewell and Mary Lee Gailey Anglin. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church and was retired from the University of Georgia as an accountant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Edwin Baird.

Mrs. Baird is survived by her daughters, Tonya Ladd of Jefferson, Robbin Brown of Commerce and Terrie Craven of Johnstown, CO; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 4 PM, Wednesday, May 21 at Center United Methodist Church with Rev. David Sharpton and Rev. Griff Carithers officiating. Interment will follow in Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Commerce Athletic Booster Club, c/o Baird Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 317, Commerce, GA 30529 or Center Community Cemetery Fund, 420 Lakeview Drive, Nicholson, GA 30565.
