George Harrison Eubanks, Sr

Mr. George Harrison Eubanks, Sr. age 71 of Commerce died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Eubanks was born in Homer to the late, Thomas Lee and Margie Lou Crane Eubanks. Mr. Eubanks was retired from the heat and air business and was a member of the Oconee Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Eubanks was also preceded in death by his sister, Grace Ervin and his brother, Arthur Lee Eubanks.


Mr. Eubanks is survived by his wife, Dorothy Nell Cheatham Eubanks of Commerce; daughter, Julie Smith (Tony) of Commerce; sons, George Eubanks, Jr. of Athens, Tracey Eubanks of Atlanta, Chris Eubanks (Sherry) of Gainesville, and Kevin Eubanks of Commerce; four grandchildren, Cole Martin, Camryn Martin, Nathaniel Eubanks, and Nataleigh Eubanks; brothers, Bobby and Johnny Eubanks both of Commerce; sisters, Betty Barrett of Nicholson, Sharon Chamberlain of SC, and Lillie Mae Benton of Commerce.

Memorial service will be held Friday, August 9 at 1:00 PM from Oconee Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 5-8 PM.
