Jennifer Michele Gilbert Miller

Obituary Date: Friday, May 27, 2011
Jennifer Michele Gilbert Miller, age 38, was received by God on May 27, 2011.

She beautifully and courageously battled terminal cancer for over three years.

She was surrounded by friends and family who have been uplifted by her spirit of life. Her true gift to all was showing us how to live and die celebrating together. The last remaining weeks of her life were full of laughter and joy with constant visitors who were comforted by her positive attitude.

Michele graduated from Gainesville High School in 1991. She also attended Gainesville College and North Georgia College.

Michele was a very active member of Lakewood Baptist Church growing up, but as an adult was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. So many members of this church loved and ministered to her.

Michele had a wonderful love for life with cooking, going to the beach and traveling when she could. Her greatest joy and accomplishment in her short life was being a mother to her three precious children. She will always be remembered as an excellent mother, beautiful daughter, sister, niece, cousin, granddaughter, and faithful friend.

Michele found great satisfaction the last months of her life working at Carol's Closet on the downtown Gainesville square. Carol Roper and Reba Ruth blessed her life without measure.

She is survived by her children, Natalie Ertzberger, Jimmy Miller and Jonathan Miller. Other survivors are her parents, Johnny and Andrea Gilbert and brother, Michael Gilbert (along with Allison Franklin), grandparents Jack and Mary Allison, aunts and uncles, Carol Gilbert, Debbie Gilbert, Jeff (Lisa) Gilbert, Pam (Ronnie) Weeks, Darwin (Judy) Allison, Sheila (Bradley) Dunckel. She also left behind wonderful cousins, Niki Gilbert, Jake Gilbert, Brent Weeks, Kim Pena, Scooter Weeks, Trey Allison, Sarah Allison, A. J. Allison, Ashlee Dunckel, and Jason Dunckel.

Also remembered are four of the dearest friends one could ever have: Amy Allen Barton, Stephanie Parrish Brown, Heather Perry McGee, and Meredith Wilson Youngblood. They never left her side during her final days.

Visitation will be held at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31 from 2:00
