Barbara Marie Cleveland, age 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at her residence in Buford, Georgia, surrounded by family.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, February 7, 2025 at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church with Pastor Jason Mincey officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church.
Barbara was born April 22, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she was raised by her mother, Marie Henson Wise and adopted father Richard H. Wise, Sr. In 1962, she graduated from Will Rogers High School where she attended many reunions over the years. In 1971, she married her soul mate Neil Cleveland. In addition to her duties as a mother and homemaker, she spent many years as a senior loan officer with Eastern Airlines Credit Union. In later life, she became a co-owner of Pharos Technology Solutions, an IT company started by her husband in 2004. Barbara was a long-time member of Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church. She contributed and participated in numerous church activities and charitable causes.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Neil Cleveland; son, Alan (Maria) Cleveland; daughters, Cherie Fambrough, Angela (Steve) Williams; brother, Rick (Susan) Wise; sister, Karen (Bob) Williams, grandchildren Megan Cleveland, Charlie Rockhart, Bodi Miller, Jada Gure, Weston Cleveland, Kara Fambrough, Walker Cleveland and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. And, of course, Sophie, her beloved Yorkie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Alan Fambrough.
