William Byars Threlkeld

William Byars Threlkeld, age 78, of Clarkesville, passed away on Sunday September 29, 2024.  

Will was born on September 11, 1946, in Rome, Georgia to the late Walter Fred Threlkeld Sr. and Emily Nankit Horne Threlkeld. He enjoyed cowboy guns, military rifles, and discussing and working on his 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle.  Will was a graduate of Rabun Gap Nacoochee School and Georgia State University.  He will be remembered as a loving family member.  Will honorably served his country as a Marine Corp Veteran in the Vietnam War.  

Survivors include his daughter Christy Threlkeld; daughter and son-in-law Robin (Threlkeld) Sullens (Justin); granddaughter, Christy Sullens; brother, Walter Fred Threlkeld Jr; brother and sister-in-law, Lee Threlkeld and Leslie Crawford; sister and brother-in-law, Joy Threlkeld-Brown and Jeff Brown; brother and sister-in-law Jeff Threlkeld and Susan (Wikle) Threlkeld.  

A visitation will be held at 2PM, followed by the memorial service at 3PM Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Nacoochee Methodist in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia.  Pastor Keith Windmiller will officiate.
