Mrs. Fay Hulsey Carver Lindsey, 84, of Gainesville unexpectedly passed away at her home Saturday, December 31, 2022, following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Lindsey was born to Joe and Nettie Hulsey in Gainesville, Georgia, on November 26, 1938. She was a 1956 graduate of Clermont High School and lived in the Gainesville area for most of her life. Mrs. Lindsey worked at Regions Bank until her retirement in 2002 and was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville where she cared for many children in the church nursery.
Mrs. Lindsey is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Lindsey; sisters Virginia Henson and Janet Richardson; brother Bob Hulsey; infant son Christopher Carver; and stepson Scott Lindsey. Survivors include her son, Joseph Carver (Jessica); stepdaughters Rebekah Thompson (Joe) and Susan Lewis (Ted); stepdaughter-in-law Allene Lindsey; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. The family will receive friends in the church parlor immediately afterward.
