Maria Elisa Ortega Lopez

Ms. Maria Elisa Ortega-Lopez, age 38 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.        

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 17, 2022 at 12:00 noon at St. John Paul II Catholic Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Father Roberto Herrera will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 4 – 7 pm and Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, at the funeral home.  

Ms. Ortega was born March 2, 1983 in Michoacan, Mexico to Leonardo Ortega-Sandoval and Rosa Maria Lopez-Estrada.  She was a housewife and of the Catholic Faith.          

Ms. Ortega is survived by her husband, Miguel Herrera of Gainesville, her son, Matias Herrera-Ortega of Gainesville, her parents, Leonardo Ortega-Sandoval and Rosa Lopez de Ortega, her brothers, Leonardo Ortega-Lopez, Luis Ortega-Lopez and Jose Ortega-Lopez and sister, Evelyn Ortega-Lopez.
