Mrs. Marie Loggins, age 78, of Demorest, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
Mrs. Loggins was born in Hall County to the late James Marion and Thelma Dodd Wiley. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by son, Ricky McDuffie; daughter, Anita Hicks; brothers, Henry Wiley, Ed Wiley, Buddy Wiley, and David Wiley; and sister, Carol Abernathy. She was self-employed as a seamstress and a thrift store owner.
Survivors include husband, George Loggins, Demorest; daughters, Tina Howard, Sardis, Rita Smith, Dahlonega, and Regina Warren, Demorest; sisters, Kathrine Fambro, Geneva Franklin, and Bertha Murphy; brothers, Jerry Wiley and Gerald Wiley; grandchildren, Mechele Denmon, Amy Springer, Kristy Harper, Lacey Hicks, Casey Rickett, Jimmy McDuffie, Danny McDuffie, and Timmy McDuffie; 6 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren and countless friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, July 15, 2021 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Jacob Armor will officiate. Interment will follow in Clemmons Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
