Alma Seabolt Grindle, age 93, of Dahlonega went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 after a sudden illness. She was born on September 15, 1927 to the late Esborn Seabolt and the late Belle Grizzle Seabolt.
Alma was a long time member of Cavender Creek Baptist Church. She loved her church, her family, and her friends more than anything else. For many years she worked within the Lumpkin County School System. When she wasn't working at the school she was normally helping her husband James Grindle in their chicken houses. She always enjoyed gardening and quilting. Many of Alma's most cherished memories include teaching her beloved granddaughter Angel how to sew.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband James Grindle; brother and sister-in-law Glenn (Darlene) Seabolt; adored granddaughter Angel Grindle; and nephew Phil Seabolt.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Terry (Jennifer) Grindle of Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law Allen “Pete” (Delores) Seabolt of Dahlonega; grandson Shane (Kim) Grindle of Gainesville; great-grandsons Chase and Chance Helton; and nieces Lana England, Melody Seabolt, and Melinda Seabolt. She is also survived by numerous other friends and relatives.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Cavender Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Adams and Rev. Terry Head officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
