Guenter Meier

Guenter Meier, 60, of Buford, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

Guenter, the son of the late Christian Meier and the late Anna Meier was born on December 14, 1959 in Fohnsdorf, Austria.  He graduated from the University of Vienna with a degree in International Business. He was an avid lover of skiing in his early life and had a lifetime love of fast sports cars, football, and golf. His journey to America began in Hawaii and followed to California, Florida, and then Georgia where he found his home of 35 years and the love of his life, his wife Agnes Meier.  His professional career in the automotive industry included extensive experience in all fields of automotive management and finance. Everyone who knew Guenter adored him because of his larger than life personality and his big heart. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed. We know we will see him again and are thankful for the memories we have of him. Guenter is survived by his loving wife, Agnes, his closest friends, and his favorite Weimaraner dog, Kaya.

A visitation for Guenter is planned for Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The visitation will be at the Flanigan Funeral Home on 4400 S. Lee Street, Buford, Georgia 30518. All are invited to attend.
