Bobby Hudgins, 67, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday May 19, 2020 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Bobby was born May 10, 1953 to the late James and Chesty Hudgins. After spending most of his life in Forsyth County, he had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past year. He held many different jobs throughout his life including owning a pig farm, construction company and working as a truck driver. Bobby enjoyed coaching softball and his family was always most important to him, especially his grandchildren. A member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dawsonville, he was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 44 years, Margaret Hudgins, Dawsonville; children, Joseph Hudgins, Cumming, Beth and Ken Ramey, North Carolina, Marvin Hudgins, Dawsonville, Gina Hudgins Tolbert, Commerce, Sherry and Brad Newton, Dahlonega; sisters and brothers in law, Diane Hudgins, Cumming, Betty and Robert Dowis, Cumming, Sherry and Jim Cooper, Cumming; 12 grandchildren, including his beloved grandson BJ; 10 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside services will be held Saturday May 23, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawsonville. Rev. Jason Hamby and Rev. Andy Wallace will officiate.
