Authorities say one person was critically injured in a head-on crash on Spout Springs Road in southern Hall County Thursday morning.
A report from the Georgia State Patrol said the crash happened just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 21. Authorities say a Nissan Altima that was headed north on Spout Springs Road crossed the centerline and hit a southbound Honda Elantra head-on.
"The Altima traveled off the roadway and overturned multiple times, before coming to a final rest on its passenger side facing south," the state patrol report. "The Elantra rotated clockwise and came to a final rest facing north, in the southbound lane."
The driver of the Altima, Luke Peoples, age 21, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in critical condition. The driver of the Elantra also suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been formally announced as of noon Friday.
