Superintendent Will Schofield announced on May 18 that he plans to recommend Jared Belew as the county's next director of student services and Dr. Mandy Dale as the next director of instructional support services.

Belew has more than 25 years of experience in public school education in both Hall and Clayton counties, and has worked for the Hall County School District since 2014. His roles have included media specialist, assistant principal and principal.

Hall County Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, Suzanne, Jarrard, called Belew the right fit for the role.

"The role of the Director of Student Services requires a deep understanding of pedagogy and assessment, excellent logistical and organizational skills, compassion, and a heart for serving others," Jarrard said. "Jared Belew checks all the boxes."

Dale will be coming to the Hall County School District from neighboring Banks County, where she has worked as the director of school improvement and assessment there. Dale's career has also included serving as Banks County's director of federal programs, as well as being principal of Baznks County Primary School.

Prior to working in Banks County, Dale also worked in Hall County at Lula, Oakwood and Sugar Hill elementary schools.

"These experiences will serve her well as Director of Instructional Support Services," Jarrard said. "She understands that strong instructional support begins with building relationships, supporting teachers and leaders, and using data to improve outcomes for students."

Schofield will make the recommendations of Belew and Dale to the Hall County Board of Education at its meeting in Gainesville on June 22.
