Hall County Financial Services was recently recognized for its comprehensive financial report for Fiscal Year 2024.

The department was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

According to the Hall County Government, the recognition is the highest achievement in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Hall County has received the award for 33 consecutive years.

“This recognition is a testament to the continued hard work and dedication of Hall County Financial Services staff in operating with the daily mindset of financial excellence,” Hall County Financial Services Director Taylor Samples said. “But that is an effort that would not be possible without the leadership of the Hall County Board of Commissioners and Administration, who have a vision in setting a high standard of excellence each and every day throughout the Hall County Government organization.”

An impartial panel judged the FY 2024 report to determine if it met the association’s standards.
