John Barrick Bowmar, 65

John Barrick Bowmar, age 64, of Brackett Drive, Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, March 30, 2008 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Jon Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Bowmar was born in Delaware County, Ohio to the late Quinter Reed Bowmar and Dora M. (Hartley) Bowmar. He was a member of First UMC in Center Village, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Imogene Fletcher.

Mr. Bowmar is survived by his wife, Norma (Longshore) Bowmar, Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kim Bowmar; Brian and Jane Bowmar and Chad and Julie Bowmar, all of Gainesville; six grandchildren, Kristopher, Matthew, Ethan, Kyle, Kara and Maggie; one sister, Rhea Bailey, Delaware, Ohio; two brothers, Reed Bowmar of Center Village; and Randy Bowmar of Delaware, OH; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends also survive.
