Billy Williams, 72

Mr. Billy Williams, age 72, of Clermont, Georgia, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2007 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Dean Bryant will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Monday, July 9, 2007 and from 2 to 4 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born in Hall County to the late Allen Williams and Grace (Humphries) Williams. He served in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972. and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mr. Williams was a retired Hall County Corrections Officer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, N.W. Williams and Allen Williams, Jr., and one sister, Ann Phear.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Sullivan) Williams, Clermont; daughter, Cindy Garner, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Chuck Bailey, Flowery Branch,; brothers, Bobby Williams and Harrison Williams, both of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Robert Peters, Wagener, SC; granddaughter and husband, Rebecca and Josh Smith, Gainesville; grandson, Camden Garner, Gainesville; granddaughter, Gracie Bailey, Flowery Branch; and one great-grandson, Joshua Smith, Gainesville; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
