Harold Dean Hawkins, 80

Harold Dean Hawkins, 80, of Jackson County died Monday, July 3, 2006 at Banks Jackson Medical Center in Commerce.

Born May 18, 1926 in Hall County, Mr. Hawkins had lived in Jackson County for the past 20 years. He was a retired plumber, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Hawkins is preceded in death by his daughters, Judy Hawkins Pitrowski and Reba Yvonnie Hawkins.

Survivors include his children, Gerald Hawkins, Debra Barron, Lisa Moore and Greg Hawkins; a sister, Julia Shirley of Jefferson; and 3 brothers, Ralph Hawkins of Gainesville, Benny Hawkins of Gainesville and Wayne Hawkins of Jefferson.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 6, at 4:00 p.m. at Timberidge Baptist Church Cemtery in Lula with the Rev. Eric Shelton officiating.
