Betty Jo (Allison) Oliver age 85 passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at her home in Clermont.  A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of W. R. Strickland & Sons at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025.  Reverend Scott Strickland will officiate the service.  Interment will follow the service at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Betty is proceeded in death by her husband the light of her life, William Stewart Oliver, sisters Marilyn Pittman and Sue Wofford, brothers Vernon Allison, Lee Allison, Phillip Allison, Donald (Shorty) Allison, and Ted Allison.

Betty was born January 15, 1940 to the late William Hershel Allison and Maggie Brice Allison of the Sardis Community of Hall County. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Connie Oliver; grandchildren Shanda (Heath) Kilgore and April (Russ) Miller; great grandchildren Danielle and Drake Kilgore; sister Mary Benefield, brother and sister-in-law Larry and Brenda Allison and sister in law Kathy Allison; and many special nieces and nephews.

Betty joined Sardis Baptist Church at the age of 13 and continued serving her Savior when she joined Holly Springs Baptist Church in 1958. She was a graduate of Sardis High School, class of 1957, where she played the sport of basketball that she loved.
