A Lawrenceville man is facing a series of charges in connection with a March 10 two-vehicle crash in Peachtree Corners which left three people dead, including one of his young daughters.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said Aaron Vaughn, 30, of Lawrenceville, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro at more than 100 mph just before it collided with a BMW. That incident happened just before 4 p.m. that Sunday at the intersection of Peachtree Corners Circle and Elmside Village Lane.

That wreck led to the deaths of the occupants of the BMW: Armas Harding and Laura Rueda, both 46 and of Brookhaven. Additionally, Vaughn's daughter, Aura Camarono, 5, was killed in the wreck. Vaughn and his second daughter, a 6-year-old, also suffered serious injuries as a result. The passenger in the front seat of the Camaro is still being treated at a local hospital for her injuries as of Friday evening.

Vaughn's daughters were reportedly restrained using the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt, but not a child safety seat as required by law.

"Georgia law requires that all children under the age of eight be restrained in a child safety seat appropriate for their height and weight," a release from the agency said.

A preliminary investigation by the agency determined that Vaughn was driving the Camaro at more than 100 mph southbound on Peachtree Corners Circle in the right lane. That stretch of road has a 45 mph speed limit. The BMW was driving eastbound on Elmside Village Lane and attempting to turn left onto Peachtree Corners Circle Northbound. The Camaro collided with the BMW in that intersection as the BMW attempted to make the turn.

Vaughn was charged with Murder in the Second Degree, three counts of Homicide by Vehicle in the First Degree, two counts of Transporting a Child in a Vehicle without proper restraint, Driver Required to Wear a Seatbelt, two counts of Cruelty to Children in the Second Degree, Serious Injury by Vehicle, Reckless Driving, and Speeding. He was booked Friday afternoon at the Gwinnett County Jail.
