During its recent meeting, the Jackson EMC foundation's board of directors awarded $100,000 in grants to organizations.

The following breaks down the $35,000 total amount received by agencies serving Hall County.

Grants are made possible by the 218,810 participants of the Operation Round Up Program. These members have their monthly electric bills rounded up to the next dollar amount, and with the “spare change” collected have funded over 2,000 grants. Giving back over $20 million to local communities since its initiation back in 2005.

Any individual or charitable organization within the ten counties served by Jackson EMC (Clarke, Banks, Barrow, Franklin, Gwinnett, Hall, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, and Oglethorpe) may apply for a foundation grant by completing an application online by clicking here. Applicants do not need to be a member of Jackson EMC.
