A retired White County Fire Station Captain has died from his injuries following an Oct.14 multi-vehicle wreck on Ga. 365.
J.B. Ramey, 84, of Cleveland died Sunday night at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, according to Habersham County Coroner Kasey McEntire. Ramey was one of six injured in the wreck.
An initial report from the county indicated the crash blocked all of Ga. 365 in both directions by Duncan Bridge Rd. A Ford F-150 truck was overturned during the crash, which also involved at least two other passenger vehicles at the crossing. Officials did not specify which vehicle Ramey was in at the time of the accident.
Habersham County Spokesman Rob Moore said in a release Ramey was also the owner of Ramey Motors and a former sheriff’s deputy. Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland is in charge of arrangements.
