The Hall County Tax Commissioner's office has mailed courtesy reminders to the few remaining property owners who still owe their 2023 tax bills.

"We understand this can be a busy time of year when tasks may be overlooked,” said Darla Eden, Hall County Tax Commissioner. “But we want to encourage our citizens to not forget their property tax balances in order to avoid unnecessary interest and fees.”

Eden points towards the HallCountyTax.org website which makes it easy to research one’s local property tax obligations, payment status, and who to contact. However, individuals are welcome to visit the tax office Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Property owners who sold property in 2023 may still have a legal tax liability, if a courtesy reminder was sent, they have until February 13 to send their closing documents to demonstrate transfer of property tax liability.

For property tax questions, please contact the Hall County Tax Commissioner's Office by phone at (770) 531 6950 (Option 3) or via email at [email protected]
