One of the two suspects in an August shooting at Sugarloaf Mills Mall near Lawrenceville turned himself in to authorities last week.
A release from the Gwinnett County Police Department Wednesday said Ethan Dumas, age 20 of Decatur, turned himself in to the Gwinnett County Jail on September 11. He faces three counts of Aggravated Assault as well as Reckless Conduct and Terroristic Threats and Acts among others.
Dumas was one of the main suspects being sought after the incident on August 5. Police said officers working in the mall that evening heard several gunshots and saw people running out of the building.
Detectives reportedly determined that Dumas and another person got into an argument with an employee at a shoe kiosk which ended in one or both of the suspects firing shots at the victim. No one was injured in the incident.
Dumas remains in the Gwinnett County Jail on more than $15,000 bond as of Wednesday morning. Police have not released the identity of the second suspect, but are continuing to ask anyone in the public with information on the case to contact detectives.
