Hall County Schools Superintendent Will Schofield said he plans to recommend Adam Clark as the next principal of Martin Elementary School.
Schofield announced his intent to recommend Clark in a release Wednesday.
“Adam Clark truly has a heart for students,” Schofield said. “His compassion for their well-being is coupled with a laser-like focus on growth and improvement. He will build relationships with students, staff, and community members that are key to student learning.”
School district officials said Clark is a Hall County resident who has taught for 15 years including stints at West Hall High School, East Hall High School and Lula Elementary School before taking an assistant principal role at Lula in 2019.
"I look forward to serving the community at Martin Elementary School,” Clark said. “I am honored to be named the principal and am excited about getting started with our students and staff. Our goal will be to provide an atmosphere where students can reach their maximum potential as a person, as well as academically."
Schofield's recommendation will be forwarded to the school board for a final vote at their meeting on June 12 along with principal recommendations for Sardis Elementary School and West Hall Middle School.
If approved, Clark would fill the role vacated by Jeri Lynn Hutchins, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
