Downtown Gainesville will be hosting its annual Trick or Treat on the Square Tuesday.
This upcoming October 31, as per tradition, all are welcome to put on their best costumes and participate in the various activities that will be available on the Square in Downtown Gainesville.
Businesses on the Square with a balloon in front of their storefronts will be handing out candy to all trick-or-treaters from 3 to 6 p.m.
The Hall County Library will also be hosting a spooky scary storytime from 4 to 5 p.m.
Plus, for those interested, one may enter a costume contest on the stage on Main Street starting at 5:30 p.m. The contest will be held by the following age categories: 0-4, 5-8, 9-12, and a bonus Best Group/Family Costume category.
To help with navigating around the many activities and businesses, all visitors are advised to first stop by the Main Street Gainesville booth. Visitors will be handed a map, and free goodies while supplies last.
Closures for Main, Bradford, and Washington Streets will start at around 1 p.m. that day and open back up after the event ends at 6 p.m.
