A Gainesville man who was arrested in October 2021 and charged in a child pornography case was arrested again Thursday afternoon on new child pornography-related charges.
According to a press release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Fredys Saravia, Jr., 19, was charged with two additional counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the case.
Investigators obtained the new arrest warrants on Tuesday after forensic processing of Saravia's phone revealed two additional images of child pornography. Authorities seized three phones and a computer during the execution of a search warrant at Saravia's home in the 100 block of Barrett Street on Oct. 28, 2021.
Saravia was initially arrested on the same date as the execution of the search warrant in 2021. Saravia was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor at the time of his initial arrest. His arrest on Thursday brings the total number of counts to four.
He remained in the Hall County Jail without bond as of Friday morning.
The sheriff's office and Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force case remains under investigation.
