The Gwinnett County Police Department arrested the third suspect who is accused of felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with Bradley Coleman’s death in July.

Josiah Hughley, 20 of Lithonia, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals and the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Hughley is being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond. According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, all three suspects are in custody.

Suspect David Jarrard Booker, 20 of Stone Mountain, was arrested on July 20. The other suspect, Miles Collins, was charged with felony murder and aggravated assault on Aug. 1 in connection with Coleman’s death. Collins is currently in custody at the Henry County Jail and will be taken to Gwinnett County at a later date.

The murder happened on July 10 in Peachtree Corners when Hughley, Booker and Miles attempted to carjack Coleman’s vehicle at a QuikTrip on 5255 Peachtree Parkway.

Coleman was trying to put air in his tires, and he pulled his car in so the passenger side was nearest to the machine. While the victim was attending to his car, a black four-door passenger vehicle backed directly next to Coleman’s car.

One of the suspects got out of the black car and entered the driver’s seat in Coleman’s car. Coleman saw that the suspects were trying to steal his car and he entered his vehicle on the passenger’s side. He got into a physical altercation with that suspect, until a second suspect got out of the black four-door passenger car.

While this was happening, a driver who was unaware of the crime positioned his car so he could use the air pump when Coleman was done. His vehicle was directly behind Coleman’s car.

One of the suspects tried to back up Coleman’s car and collided with the waiting vehicle. Then one of the suspects got out of Coleman’s vehicle and shot him. Both suspects then got back into their own vehicle and sped off.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Coleman was a young father and a former football coach at Peachtree Ridge High School. He had moved to Louisiana but was back in town to visit his young daughter.

A GoFundMe account was created to raise money for Coleman’s daughter.
Josiah Hughley, 20 of Lithonia, was taken into custody on Thursday, Sept. 22. The other murder suspects, David Jarrard Booker, 20 of Stone Mountain, and Miles Collins were arrested in July and August.
