A suspect was arrested in Gwinnett County on June 28 after three weeks on the run in connection with a police chase and the discovery of a Hall County chop shop.
A social media post from the Hall County Sheriff's Office said Henry Parker Whitley, 31, was arrested by the Gwinnett County Special Investigation Unit with help from the SWAT team.
Whitley is wanted on charges in Hall County, Elbert County and Habersham County. The social media post said Whitley would be returned to Hall County, but a timeline for his return has not been determined.
Whitley was identified as the suspect after a chop shop was found on June 7 on Tribble Gap Road in Hall County. Investigators found stolen heavy equipment, utility trailers and a U-Haul truck at the site, along with 1.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, 17 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia. They also seized $55,855 in cash, three rifles and a large amount of ammunition.
Authorities previously arrested Faith Nicole Vickers, 24, of Oakwood, at the home. Vickers was charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
The discovery of the chop shop came after Whitley fled from Habersham County Sheriff's Deputies on a motorcycle. A tip led Habersham County deputies to the home on Tribble Gap Road in Hall County, where the motorcycle was located.
Whitley fled on foot out a back door, according to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office. He was not caught and a K9 was unable to locate him.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office was contacted due to the drug evidence in plain sight, and the location appeared to be a chop shop.
