Habersham County named its new Human Resources Director on Tuesday following the firing of the county’s previous Human Resources Director at the end of 2021.
Habersham County Manager Alicia Vaughn said Anna Cain will fill the position. Cain brings over 35 years of experience to the county, having served most recently as the Human Resources Director in Catoosa County. Cain’s first day in the role is Jan. 24, 2021.
A release from the county states Cain also has expertise in other areas such as county elections and organizational leadership. She has a bachelor’s degree from West Georgia College and is also a board member of the Georgia Local Government Personnel Association.
“Mrs. Cain is without a doubt the correct fit for our county, she is an expert in her field and her proven priority is customer service to staff and the public,” Vaughn said in a prepared statement.
Cain was born in Wisconsin and raised in Georgia. The release states she loves the outdoors, spending time with her family and being involved in her church. She looks forward to moving to Habersham County with her husband and learning more about the community.
