A vehicle pursuit in Cumming late Wednesday night ended in the arrest of a Flowery Branch man and a Ball Ground woman.

According to a social media post by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies seized approximately 10 ounces of methamphetamine and $5,000 in cash from a vehicle occupied by 42-year-old Larry Williams and 38-year-old Amanda Ryder.

The post states that deputies attempted to stop the vehicle driven by Williams for failure to maintain lane on Matt Highway near Heardmont Trace. Dash camera footage included in the post shows Williams pulling over, then driving off with deputies following closely behind.

During the pursuit, deputies saw both Williams and Ryder throw items from the vehicle.

Deputies were able to quickly end the pursuit and subsequently arrest Williams and Ryder, both of which had outstanding felony warrants from nearby jurisdictions.

Williams faces charges of reckless driving, trafficking methamphetamine, and failure to maintain lane. Ryder faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug related objects.

As of this report, both suspects are being held in the Forsyth County Jail without bond.
