CLEVELAND — The 2020 Mic'd Up tour traveled to White County High School this week.
Nestled behind Warrior Stadium, the Warriors battled the mid-morning heat in preparation for the upcoming season.
The Warriors and coach Tim Cokely have been navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic with every precaution prescribed by the Georgia High School Association since June 8 and, on Monday, began acclimating to the afternoon temperatures.
Cokely said it was great to be talking about something other than a virus.
"We really need this It's not a distraction, it's a way of life for us in the south," Cokely said. "Just to be back out here with the guys and them have helmets on makes me excited."
"We have an experienced team. So I think that really helped us because of the curve on the offensive playbook. It's all how your guys respond. This particular moment shouldn't change our message and shouldn't change our mission -- we want to win and win at a high level."
