Just a few days after arresting three Dahlonega residents in an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office investigators have arrested two additional suspects.

In a media statement released Friday, Lt. Alan Roach announced the arrests of Lisa Ann Andrews, 35, of Dahlonega and Jeremy Lee Ball, 33, an inmate at Autry State Prison in South Georgia.

Both Andrews and Ball have been charged with participation in criminal gang activity and criminal attempt to traffic methamphetamine. Andrews also was charged with the trafficking and sale of methamphetamine. Roach said additional charges against the two are pending.

The investigation into the so-called DTO - or drug trafficking organization - is not over yet, and Roach said more arrests are likely.

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) has assisted Lumpkin County law enforcement with the ongoing investigation.
