It doesn't matter if it's in real life on on a simulator - Talladega is always going to be wild.

On this week's Hard Left Turn podcast, Brandon Reed, Pete McCole and Amy Henderson takes a look at Sunday's eNASCAR iRacing Geico 70 and other recent racing news items, including:

-Alex Bowman came a back from an early race incident to score the win in Sunday's iRacing event at virtual Talladega Superspeedway.

-Ryan Newman announces he is ready to return to racing when NASCAR returns to competition in real life.

-NASCAR appears to be heading for a return to that real life competition, possibly as soon as next month.

-Brandon takes us down memory lane again this week with a story on Georgia's Jackson County Speedway.  You can read all about it here.

Swayne Pritchett (17) indicates that there's one lap to the start of the feature race at the Jackson County Speedway in Jefferson, Georgia on May 16, 1948. Pritchett would go on to win the race, but was injured in a crash immediately following the checkered flag. He would die hours later from internal injuries.
