An arrest has been made in the death of a woman whose body was found Sunday morning inside a home in Statham, but there are still unanswered questions about the case.

Major Ryan Sears with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office issued a statement Wednesday afternoon identifying the deceased woman as Brittnie Aaron Patterson, 36, of Statham.

Sears said the GBI had completed an autopsy on Patterson's body but had not released the victim's cause of death or other specific information related to the autopsy.

Patterson's boyfriend, identified as William Andrew Kinsey, 46, also of Statham, was arrested Sunday and charged with serious injury by motor vehicle and reckless driving. Sears said Kinsey remained in the Barrow County Detention Center and could be facing additional charges.

The case unfolded around 8 a.m. Sunday, March 8 when a neighbor called 911 to report seeing a suspected blood trail at a residence on Goldshore Way in Statham leading from the driveway to the entrance of the home. Deputies found more blood and Patterson's body inside the residence.
