A former West Hall Middle School teacher faces two additional charges in an ongoing investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office related to online conduct with juveniles.

William David Bagwell, 33, sent a photo of his genitals to a 14-year-old girl via social media and arrested and charged with a misdemeanor offense for electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor Thursday, Sept. 26. Bagwell has since been charged with felony sexual assault against a student.

According to a press release by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Bagwell sent a message via social media to a second female victim who was 15-years-old.

"The message described sexually explicit conduct," Derreck Booth with the Hall County Sheriff's Office said in the release.

In relation to the second victim, Bagwell was charged with obscene internet contact with a child, also a felony.

The three charges are related to activity that occurred between July 1, 2019 and Aug. 26, 2019. There is no evidence at this time that suggests Bagwell had any physical contact with his victims, the release stated.

Bagwell posted bond on Friday, Sept. 27 around 6:20 p.m. for $17,100.

The case remains under investigation.
