The Jackson County man accused in last month's abduction and rape of a University of Georgia student has now been indicted on a list of charges.

The Athens Banner Herald reports James William Daniels, 57, of Jefferson has been indicted for rape, kidnapping and false imprisonment.

He is accused of forcing the victim into his vehicle on Oct. 24 in downtown Athens. Witnesses saw the incident unfold and were able to get the vehicle's tag number, which lead police to Daniels and the victim.

At the time of Daniels arrest, the GBI said he had an extensive criminal history, which included convictions on computer pornography and aggravated assault.

The indictment was handed down on Nov. 13, according to the newspaper report. There is no word on when Daniels will go to trial.
