GAINESVILLE - A well-known Gainesville cardiologist, Dr. Robert Ferguson, is retiring.
Dr. Ferguson joined Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic 35 years ago in July 1980. He also became associated with Northeast Georgia Medical Center at that time and was the first staff physician at the hospital certified to perform catherization procedures.
Ten years ago, a catherization lab suite at the medical center was dedicated in his honor.
His retirement is effective July 31.
