(VIDEO) Class A Private: Lakeview girls hold off Greenforest, advance to Elite 8

GAINESVILLE — The Lakeview Academy girls advanced to their second straight Elite 8 after holding off Greenforest 59-55 Wednesday in the Class A Private playoffs.

Hanna Grogan poured in 32 points, including four 3-pointers, with 12 coming in the fourth quarter. She als sank 8-of-10 free throws in the final period as well as the Lady Lions (25-4) held off a furious rally by the Lady Eagles.

Overall No. 2 seed Lakeview led 15-6 after the first quarter but Greenforest outscored the Lady Lions 23-16 in the second quarter to trail just 31-29by halftime. The Lady Lions etxended the lead back to 43-36 heading into the final period.

Christen Copeland added 10 points for Lakeview.

Chioma Nnamani led Greenforest with 20 points. Uloma Enyogasi added 17 points for the Lady Eagles, who were just 8-of-12 from the foul line as team and hit just one 3-pointer for the game.

The Lady Lions next will play host to Darlington in the quarterfinals. The 11th-seeded Lady Tigers (23-6) knocked off No. 6 seed Calvary Day 57-51 Wednesday night on the road.
