Ralston finishes tied for 4th at Palmetto Amateur

AIKEN, S.C. — Spencer Ralston finished tied for fourth at the Palmetto Amateur held at the 6,713-yard, Par 70 Palmetto Golf Club.

Ralston fired a four-day total of 4-under par 276 to finish as the highest Georgia player in the 40-player field that made the cut.

Ralston shot rounds of 67, 73, 70, and 66. His final round 66 tied for lowest on the day along with Tyler Hitchner of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Trent Phillips of Inman, S.C. won the event with a 9-under 271 to hold off Trace Crowe of Auburn, Ala., and Doc Redmon of Raleigh, N.C., who both shot 6-under 274 to tie for second place.

Gainesville's Spencer Ralston finished fourth at the Palmetto Amateur in South Carolina over the weekend.
